Clara Johansson VIPsAllowed — Good but not quite worth the price

I picked this up for just under a hundred quid and it's solid. Nice sherry sweetness with some oak and vanilla underneath. But for that price I'd expect a bit more complexity — it feels like it plateaus quickly rather than evolving in the glass.

James Okafor VIPsAllowed — Decent sherry cask, nothing groundbreaking

It's a well-made whisky and the sherry influence is pleasant enough — some raisin and gentle spice. I just find it a bit one-dimensional compared to similarly priced Scotch sherried options. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but I wouldn't rush.

The sherry cask really comes through on this one — dried fruit, a bit of toffee, and some warm baking spice on the nose. At 42% it's easy drinking neat, and the 15 years of age gives it a smoothness that most Canadian whiskies just don't have. Genuinely impressed.

Bought this on a whim and it's become my go-to nightcap. Rich and warming with plenty of dried fruit and nutty notes from the sherry cask. The 42% ABV is just right — doesn't need any water. Really elegant stuff.

This completely changed my mind about Canadian whisky. The sherry cask aging gives it real depth — raisins, dark chocolate, a hint of cinnamon. Sipped it neat over an evening and kept finding new things. At 15 years old it's got proper maturity without being over-oaked.

Fifteen years in sherry casks has done wonders here. The nose is all Christmas cake and dark fruit, and the palate delivers with layers of spice, caramel, and a long warming finish. I've been rationing my bottle because I know I'll miss it when it's gone. Worth every penny of the £96.

Jason Steel VIPsAllowed — Surprised how much I enjoy this

I'm usually a bourbon drinker but a friend recommended this and I'm glad he did. The sherry cask gives it a richness I wasn't expecting from a Canadian whisky. Plum, toffee, and a nice oakiness on the finish. Really enjoyable neat.
