The Margaux finish really comes through here — dark berries, plum jam, and a hint of tannin that plays nicely against the malty Craigellachie spirit. At 55.4% it's got proper punch but a splash of water opens up some honeyed sweetness. Really enjoyed this one neat after dinner.

Solid Speyside with a nice wine cask twist. Nose is all red fruit and a bit of sulphur that blows off after a few minutes. I'd say it's well-made but at £90 for a single cask with no age statement, I expected a little more complexity. Still happy I bought it though.
