I picked this up for around £90 and honestly feel like I got a bargain for an 18-year-old single malt. Big honey and baked apple on the nose, then this lovely wave of malty sweetness with dried fruit and a hint of oak spice. I drink it neat and it just keeps opening up in the glass. The 46.3% ABV is spot on — enough punch without being harsh.

Deanston doesn't get enough love. This 18 year old is creamy, nutty, and has a nice long finish with gentle spice. Not the most complex whisky I've ever had but it's incredibly easy to enjoy on a weeknight. Good balance between fruit and oak at this age.
