Had this neat after a big meal and it was ideal. Warm baking spices, fig, and a long finish with a touch of bitter cocoa. The cask strength hits you but in a good way — there's real depth here. I'd happily buy another bottle if I spotted one.

Nose is all Christmas cake and stewed plums, which I love from a Speyside at this age. Palate delivers on the promise with some walnut and spice coming through at that 57.5% ABV. At £95 it's not cheap for a single cask bottling but I've paid more for less. A few drops of water really opens it up.
