8.2/10A rare 1970s Lowland single malt, Glen Flagler is a genuine piece of Scotch history — delicate, scarce, and worth every penny of its £899 asking price for the collector who values authenticity over hype.

3 reviewsI never thought I'd actually get to taste something from a closed distillery like Glen Flagler. The nose is all old-style Lowland — grassy, slightly waxy, with this gentle honeyed sweetness underneath. At 40% it's gentle but there's real depth here. Worth every penny if you're a collector who actually opens their bottles.
4 March 2026Poured this neat at a tasting with friends and it genuinely silenced the table. Light cereal sweetness, a hint of dried flowers, and a finish that just keeps going. For a 1970s bottling at 40% ABV it holds up remarkably well. The £899 price tag stings but you're paying for rarity as much as liquid.
5 February 2026Look, it's a nice dram — soft vanilla, some green apple, a pleasant malty backbone. Classic Lowland profile done well. But at nearly £900 I kept waiting for something transcendent that never quite arrived. I'd say 80% of the cost is the story and scarcity, 20% is what's in the glass.
