8.6/10Glenmorangie's 25 Year Old is a quietly confident Highland single malt that rewards patience with remarkable poise. At £900 it demands scrutiny, but the integration of spirit and wood across a quarter-century of maturation earns a well-deserved 8.6 out of 10.

6 reviewsI bought this for my 50th birthday and it did not disappoint. Incredibly smooth at 43% — honey, dried apricot, and this beautiful waxy orange peel on the nose. Sipped neat over two hours and every minute was a pleasure. If you can justify £900, this is old-school Highland at its finest.

29 December 2025Had this at a tasting event and was impressed by how refined it is. Lots of vanilla, sandalwood, and stewed fruits. At 25 years old you'd expect complexity and it delivers, though I wish it had a bit more punch — 43% feels slightly tame for the age. Still a gorgeous dram.
