I grabbed this on a whim after hearing good things about Hven and wow, it delivers. Rich orchard fruit on the nose, then oak spice and a lovely honeyed sweetness that lingers. At 45% it's perfectly balanced for sipping neat. Sweden is making seriously good whisky.

The Mizar is one of those drams that keeps evolving in the glass. First pour gives you malt and dried fruit, then after ten minutes you get these beautiful vanilla and almond notes. Not cheap at £91 but you're paying for something genuinely different from the usual Scotch suspects.
