There is a lot to like about Celtic Honey Beekeeper’s Blend on paper. At 40%abv); 750ml; $24 and $24.99, let us see if it lives up to expectations.

Nose

Has light yellow and golden hues. Aromas of honey, orange peel, and nutmeg.

Palate

Notes of honey, heather flower, maple and cinnamon.

Finish

In a very saturated market, Celtic Honey Beekeeper’s Blend is doing a good job working to differentiate itself from the pack. The honey flavoring is not so strong to totally overwhelm the whiskey profile. I’m happy to say that this flavored whiskey is much more balanced than some of the competitors.

The Bottom Line

Celtic Honey Beekeeper’s Blend is fine — not bad, not great, just fine. At $24.99, I think there are better options in this range if you are willing to look around.
