Copperworks Hair of the Dog Adam Whiskey landed on my desk at 50% ABV), 100% malted barley, 750 ml bottle MSRP $, carrying a $89.99. The nose offers notes of green pepper, spice, and tangy orange citrus, with sweet floral not price tag. Here is what I found.
Nose
The nose offers notes of green pepper, spice, and tangy orange citrus, with sweet floral notes, and hints of juicy raisins and molasses.
Palate
On the palate are flavors of spicy green grass, toffee, cinnamon, and subtle hints of chocolate covered raisins. This is a light to medium bodied whiskey that offers a smooth and slightly syrupy sweet texture that gently coats the tongue with enticing spicy and floral character notes. Despite the high proof it’s a very approachable, easy sipper. The relatively broad flavor profile is well-balanced and delivers a moderate finish with notes of raw grains on the back end.
