Oakpacker American Single Malt Whiskey — the question is whether it delivers on its promise. I sat down with a pour to find out.

Nose

Citrus notes hit the nose first followed closely by warm cinnamon, oak, butterscotch, vanilla, maple syrup, and juicy peach. This is a well crafted American single malt with a lot going on between the nose and the palate. It achieves a robust depth of flavor while maintaining a bright and clean, medium body with a slightly crisp and creamy long finish. Great balance of flavors that manage to be both lush and delicate at the same time. Released at just the right time, this is an ideal warm weather sipping whiskey that would work great in cocktails as well.

The Bottom Line

Oakpacker American Single Malt Whiskey delivers the goods. It is well-made, genuinely enjoyable, and represents solid value for what you are getting. I would happily buy this again.
