Whisky Review: Royal Brackla 12-Year-Old at 46% ABV — at $70.99. Clear and clean, orange-gold with low viscosity, the question is whether it delivers on its promise. I sat down with a pour to find out.
Palate
The whisky has a slightly slippery texture, with a sharpness that carries cherry and peachy notes. There are elements of charcoal in the mid-palate and a finish that holds most of the smokiness. Theres tobacco and turbinado sugar that linger after Im done with the tasting, almost like its been a few hours since Ive smoked an unfiltered cigarette. This Royal Brackla 12-Year-Old is a pleasant sipper with elegant notes of cherry, chocolate, and tobacco. I feel this Scotch will appeal to a customer who is looking to expand their whisky knowledge without being presented with anything too challenging.

The Bottom Line
Whisky Review: Royal Brackla 12-Year-Old delivers the goods. It is well-made, genuinely enjoyable, and at $70.99. Clear and clean, orange-gold with low viscosity represents solid value for what you are getting. I would happily buy this again.
