21 reviewsI've tried a few Cotswolds releases now and this Golden Wold might be the best yet. Rich and malty with this gorgeous baked pastry quality that I keep coming back to. The higher ABV gives it real presence on the palate. Worth every penny of the £95 in my opinion.

19 February 2026The 'Harvest Series' name makes total sense once you taste it — think fresh barley, ripe pear, and a touch of vanilla. I added a few drops of water to bring it down from the 52.5% and it really bloomed. Lovely stuff, though at nearly a hundred quid I'd save it for special occasions.

7 February 2026Had this at a tasting night and thought it was well made — clean, fruity, good balance of sweet and spice. At 52.5% it's got punch but stays approachable. I enjoyed it neat but wouldn't rush out to buy a bottle at that price point when there's so much competition. That said, great to see English whisky improving year on year.

27 January 2026I grabbed this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. Beautiful golden colour, loads of honey and orchard fruit on the nose, with a biscuity malt backbone. At 52.5% it carries some serious weight but never feels harsh — just sip it neat and let it open up. Cotswolds are really proving England can make world-class single malt.

1 January 2026Poured this neat after dinner and it was perfect. Warm toffee and grain on the nose, then stone fruit and gentle oak spice on the taste. The finish hangs around nicely without being overpowering. Cotswolds clearly know what they're doing with their barley and this Harvest Series release is a great showcase of that.

28 December 2025Solid English single malt with nice cereal notes and some dried fruit. The finish is warm and lingering which I appreciate. My only gripe is the price — £95 is getting into serious Scotch territory, and I'm not sure this quite competes with what you can get from Speyside at that level. Still enjoyable neat though.

28 November 2025Didn't expect this much depth from a relatively young English distillery. On the nose I get honeycomb and stewed apple, then the palate delivers toasted oak and a hint of dark chocolate. The cask strength really lets the flavours shine without needing to be tamed. Would happily buy again.
