15 reviewsPicked this up at a tasting event and ended up buying a bottle on the spot. The nose is gorgeous — beeswax, orchard fruits, and a whiff of sea air. It finishes dry with gentle oak and a hint of dark chocolate. Perfect neat in a Glencairn after a big meal.

12 March 2026I've been working through the Glen Scotia range and the 18 is where everything comes together. There's a beautiful balance between the sweet sherry influence and that salty coastal funk that makes Campbeltown special. The 46% ABV is spot on — no chill filtration nonsense, just honest whisky. Genuinely one of the best value aged single malts out there right now.

9 March 2026Glen Scotia doesn't get the love it deserves and this 18 is a perfect example of why people should pay attention. You get that classic Campbeltown brine and a touch of smoke layered with honey and dark chocolate. I prefer it with a few drops of water to really open it up. Not flashy, just consistently good dram after dram.

21 January 2026I bought this on a whim after trying a friend's bottle and I'm so glad I did. Rich maritime saltiness on the nose gives way to dried fruits and toffee, with a long warming finish. At 46% it's got enough punch to hold up neat without being aggressive. For under £100 this is a steal for an 18 year old single malt.

31 December 2025Don't get me wrong, this is a nice whisky — vanilla, oak spice, some coastal notes that are pleasant enough. But for 18 years in cask I wanted a bit more complexity and depth. At nearly £100 I find myself reaching for younger Campbeltowns that punch above their weight for less money.
