12 reviewsGood reliable dram that I keep coming back to. There's a lovely baked apple and spice thing going on with some subtle sherry influence. I drink it neat, maybe a few drops of water. It does what an 18-year-old single malt should do — no surprises, just quality.

22 March 2026Bought this for my dad's birthday and ended up nicking a couple of drams myself. Rich and fruity with that classic Speyside honey sweetness and a long warm finish. It's approachable enough for someone who doesn't usually drink single malts but has enough depth to keep enthusiasts interested. At £98 it sits in that sweet spot for a special occasion bottle.

31 January 2026I've been working through the Glenfiddich range and the 18 is where it really hits its stride. Beautiful dried fruit and oak on the nose, with this rich toffee sweetness that just lingers. At 40% it's incredibly smooth neat — almost dangerously easy to drink for something this complex. Yes it's nearly a hundred quid but honestly I think it punches above that price point.

25 November 2025The flavours are genuinely lovely — warm oak, vanilla, a hint of dried fruit — but at 40% ABV it feels a bit thin for an 18-year-old at this price. I can't help thinking a cask strength or even 46% version would be incredible. Still a pleasant sipper on a cold evening, just feels like it's holding back.
