This bourbon is a light amber color. This particular bourbon seems very smooth on the tongue, just rolling over it. There is definitely an interesting and unique hit of sweetness, perhaps a bit of that chocolate and cherry nose. It definitely finishes with the taste of oak and cloves.
Palate
While there is perhaps a touch of orange peel, there is definitely a very strong hint of chocolate cherries. The Pursuit United Oak Collection Blended Straight Bourbon has a very unique taste profile. I feel like there are actually a lot of things going on with this flavor. Could it be a bit too much going on? That will depend on your own personal taste. While definitely a solid product, and something new with a flavor profile I have never experienced, I would suggest that this might be a great mixer, especially for something that is wanting to bring out a chocolate and/or cherry flavor.
